Available SSI Benefits
SSI benefits are available to people who are older than age 65 or who are blind or disabled adults or children. You must also:
- Have limited income
- Have limited resources
- Be a U.S. citizen or one of a certain category of aliens
- Live in the United States
Should you qualify for SSI benefits, you will receive a monthly payment based on your level of need and the maximum federal benefit rate. In Florida, qualified individuals may be entitled to additional benefits and will be automatically eligible for Medicaid.
